FX

Eight modules in a fixed order. Each one assumes only what came before it - start at module 1 unless you know exactly what you skipped.

  1. Module 1

    How the FX market works

Who trades currencies, where, and why prices move. Interbank structure, the dealer network, sessions from Wellington to New York, and what a currency pair actually represents. Charts wait for module 2 and macro drivers for module 5 - this module is the machinery only.

    9 lessons, about 49 minutes

  2. Module 2

    Reading the FX market

Quotes, pips and fractional pips, chart types and timeframes, and how liquidity shifts through the London and New York sessions. Covers reading price, not predicting it - analysis starts in module 5, strategy in module 6.

    9 lessons, about 45 minutes

  3. Module 3

    What trading FX costs

Spreads by pair and session, commission account models, swap points and triple-swap Wednesdays, and margin as collateral rather than cost. Contract maths for metals and indices lives in those tracks, not here.

    9 lessons, about 60 minutes

  4. Module 4

    Managing FX risk

Position sizing in lots from a fixed risk per trade, stop placement, and the correlated-exposure trap - long EURUSD and short USDCHF is one position, not two. Pairs with the position size, pip value and drawdown tools. The discipline of following the plan is module 7's ground.

    9 lessons, about 59 minutes

  5. Module 5

    FX analysis foundations

The technical toolkit - structure, trend, support and resistance - alongside the macro calendar: rates, inflation, employment, and what each release means for a currency at working depth. The deeper rates-and-carry machinery is module 8 material.

    9 lessons, about 65 minutes

  6. Module 6

    Building an FX strategy

Turning an idea into rules: entries, exits, and testing against history without fooling yourself. Expectancy, sample size and overfitting. No strategy is recommended or supplied - the module teaches evaluation, not signals.

  7. Module 7

    FX process and review

Journalling every trade, reviewing by setup rather than outcome, and knowing when to stop trading. The trade-journal statistics tool does the arithmetic. Sizing rules were module 4; this module is the habit of obeying them.

  8. Module 8

    FX specialist topics

The deep end, one concept at a time: interest-rate differentials and carry, session microstructure, cross-currency mechanics and correlation regimes. Everything earlier modules deferred lands here. Assumes modules 1 to 7.
