Refund Policy
DRAFT - NOT YET REVIEWED BY A SOLICITOR. DO NOT PUBLISH.
Last updated: [DATE]
The short version
You have 14 days from your first payment to change your mind, and you can refund yourself.
There is a button on your account page. Press it, confirm, and your money comes back. You do not have to email us, explain yourself, or wait for anyone to approve it.
The longer version
What you get back
The full amount you paid. We do not deduct anything for lessons you have read, tools you have used, audio you have listened to, or PDFs you have downloaded.
How long you have
14 days from your first payment.
Your subscription is one ongoing contract that renews until you cancel, rather than a fresh purchase each month or year. The 14-day window applies when you join.
We will remind you before an annual subscription renews, so a renewal is never a surprise, and you can cancel at any time.
How to do it
Sign in, go to your account page, press the refund button.
Before anything happens we will show you what you are giving up:
- The days of access remaining in the period you have paid for. If you paid for a year and refund on day 10, you are giving up 355 days.
- Your rate lock. You joined at a price that was yours for as long as your subscription ran. Refunding ends that. If you rejoin later you pay whatever band is current then, which may be higher.
Then you confirm. Nothing happens until you do.
The refund goes back to the card or payment method you used. It usually arrives within a few working days and always within 14 days. Your access ends when the refund is processed.
After the 14 days
The button disappears.
You can still cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future payments and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. It does not refund that period.
If you think you are owed a refund outside the 14 days, email [EMAIL] and tell us why. We would rather sort it out than argue about it.
If something is wrong with what we sold you
This is separate and it is not limited by the 14 days.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if what we supply is not of satisfactory quality, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund. That applies whenever the problem comes to light.
Email [EMAIL].
Your account and your data
Refunding ends your subscription but does not delete your account. Your progress, saved lessons and quiz history stay where they are, and free content remains available.
If you want your account deleted, that is a separate action, also on your account page.
Why we do it this way
Most subscription businesses make refunds difficult because a proportion of people give up. We think that is a bad way to treat people and a worse way to build something people trust.
If Tick Sprout is not what you wanted, we would rather you had your money back than felt trapped. We also tell you plainly what you lose by doing it, because you should be able to make that decision with the facts in front of you.
