When to stop trading a commodity rule

The written triggers under which a rule is retired or suspended, set when the rule is adopted: the regime clause firing, the mechanism dying, or drawdown crossing a bound set from the rule's own tested record. Decided in advance because the moment they fire is precisely the moment judgement is worst.
