When to stop trading
stop conditions
Stopping means ceasing to trade a strategy, or trading at all, when a condition specified in advance is met. Module 6 required those conditions to be named; this is about honouring them. Stopping is not free - it forgoes the trades that would have worked, and a threshold set too tight will stop a sound strategy during ordinary variance - which is exactly why the level is chosen in advance rather than in the moment.
This lesson is part of the advanced modules.
Modules 6 to 8 are included with a paid account. The definitional summary above is the whole of this page until then.
