Deciding whether a commodity strategy is worth trading

The written decision a tested rule receives: trade it, shelve it, or kill it - reached against stated hurdles rather than enthusiasm. In commodities the hurdles are: net expectancy positive after the full bill, sample honestly sized against the calendar, regime named and clause written, data construction sound. 'No' is the common answer, and the machinery is working when it is.
