What a strategy actually is

A strategy is a complete specification: what you trade, on what timeframe, the condition that puts you in, the conditions that take you out for a loss and for a gain, how much you risk, and the circumstances under which you stop trading it altogether. Anything left to judgement in the moment is not part of the strategy, and cannot be tested, reviewed or improved.
