crypto's regimes
The three or four eras that define crypto's testable history - the 2017 retail mania, the 2018-19 winter, the 2020-21 institutional arrival, the post-2022 reset - each so different in participants, drivers and volatility that a rule's behaviour in one predicts little about another. Regime-split testing is mandatory equipment here, not best practice, because a rule that worked 'across the history' usually worked in one regime and was carried by it.
