Reviewing a position that decays

Options have a review clock the underlying never did: the position decays and expires, so each open position has its own timetable that demands review - is the thesis playing out fast enough to beat the decay, is the expiry approaching, has the volatility judgement resolved? Unlike crypto's market with no boundary, options impose their own per-position deadline, and the review is driven by each position's expiry, not the market's calendar.
