When to stop trading an options rule

The written triggers, options edition: the inherited three - regime clause (here the volatility regime), mechanism death, drawdown bound - plus two options-specific: the volatility-regime shift (a rule tested in one volatility regime is suspended when the regime changes, because its vega exposure makes it regime-specific) and the edge-crowding death (an options edge that others discover erodes, because options edges are often structural and competed away). Rules here die of volatility-regime change most.
